Longitudinal Internet Studies for the Social sciences (LISS-I) Immigrant Panel
In addition to the LISS Core panel (for more information see the Project Page here), the LISS Immigrant panel was included from October 2010 up until December 2014. This immigrant panel consisted of around 1,600 households (2,400 individuals) of which 1,100 households (1,700 individuals) were of non-Dutch origin. As reported in Celenk & van de Vijver (2013), 41% of participants were majority group members, 39% were immigrants from Western countries, and 20% were immigrants from non-Western countries. A large part of the LISS Core Panel survey is also conducted in the LISS-I panel, but is not repeated each year.
Principal Investigator(s): In 2006, the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) awarded a grant to the research institute CentERdata for this project, for a period of 7 years. This NWO subsidy was instituted by the Cabinet with a view to boosting the Dutch knowledge economy and the climate for innovation in our country. The proposal was submitted by Marcel Das, Arie Kapteyn, and Arthur van Soest.
